After working for 15 years with student group and sports travel I founded ASD Cultural Exchange. Since that time, ASD Cultural Exchange has touched the lives of youth across the United States and around the world encouraging team spirit and cultural experiences through competitive sports, cultural exchange and language programs. ASD Cultural Exchange has established an excellent track record with its athletic and cultural programs.

We would love to help you organize
an international tour during the coming year.

ASD Cultural Exchange
ASD Cultural Exchange has touched the lives of people of all ages… from enhancing their physical abilities, their sense of pride, their cooperation and respect for others, to encouraging handicapped individuals to compete in sports and by providing educational and cultural opportunities through international experiences.

ASD Cultural Exchange began as an individually funded program whose idea was founded over 15 years ago. We were approved for our Non-Profit status in 1997 and have just begun to expand our programs to match our mission statement, which is to provide an environment fostering participation in educational, athletic and cultural events for all Americans.

ASD Goals
ASD Cultural Exchange currently works with over 15 countries and has organized exchange programs for over 500 Americans in the past two years. Our goal is to double that figure each year until we are providing opportunities for 5000 persons each year.

The ASD Cultural Exchange program not only gave these young men and women the opportunity to experience sports and cultural in different countries, but also to serve as unofficial diplomats of the United States to other families and groups around the world.

ASD Cultural Exchange currently works in concert with over 15 countries and 20 different sports and cultural programs. ASD Cultural Exchange will work with the US State department as an official sponsor of the World Expo in Germany in 2000. ASD Cultural Exchange athletes have participated in local and national level sporting events around the world, our cultural programs have participated in homestay programs, language programs and various dance and music programs.

We are a strong, vital organization and anxious to expand our efforts to have an even larger impact on the community, specifically to meet the needs of our young people that wish to be involved in programs such as ours.

The ASD Experience -- What It Means
Even though sports and cultural programs are the motivation for this innovative non-profit program, the impressions these young people take with them will serve to benefit world understanding in the years ahead. There is a meaningful impact for students who take part. ASD Cultural Exchange programs promote being a "good sport" in more ways than one. The structured competitions and cultural exchange programs enhance physical and mental abilities, build a sense of pride in personal achievement, as well as teach cooperation and respect for themselves and others.

These participants are the leaders of the future. The globe is getting smaller and smaller. What better way to build understanding between cultures than to introduce young people to each other before prejudice, misunderstanding and politics have had time to erode their faith in the good will of all men.

Scholarship Fund
ASD Cultural Exchange would like to expand its effort to have a larger impact in our community. Until now, the financial burden for raising the majority of funds needed for our programs falls on the participants and ASD Cultural Exchange. We would like to design a new component to our programs that would allow more disadvantaged youngsters to participate. There is a good case that youngsters who are at risk for juvenile delinquency would benefit from these programs. What a motivational for building self-esteem and stimulating their desire to learn and grow.

In order to achieve this goal, the board of directors of ASD Cultural Exchange has approved a scholarship fund that would help pay for underprivileged participants. To date a fund of $5,000.00 has been raised for this fund. We are hoping you can help. Your donation is tax deductible and 100% will be used for sponsorship of underprivileged youth that wish to be involved in our programs.
